See What Our Homeowners Are Saying

My experience at Ryan homes Townes at the Station was great! Everyone is very helpful, and know their job. Everything was smooth in the process and they responded all my questions timely. This is a great location, close to the city. I definitely suggest Ryan Homes Townes at the Station.

Encompassing 10 square miles of Wake County adjacent to North Carolina’s capital Raleigh, Apex is an expanding town of nearly 40,000. New homes for sale in Apex, NC, are ideally situated for residents who work in the area’s Research Triangle Park, which is home to numerous scientific and IT industry companies, including IBM and Cisco Systems.

Apex’s Railroad Centered History

Incorporated in the 1870s, Apex took its name from its situation on the highest elevation of a stretch of the Chatham Railroad, which ran from Jacksonville, Florida, to Richmond, Virginia. Despite a devastating fire in the early 20th century, Apex today stands as one of the most well-preserved traditional train depot centers in North Carolina. No longer a passenger-line stop, the Apex Union Depot building now houses the town’s community library. Apex is also located conveniently eight miles south of Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

Apex’s Research Triangle Park-Driven Growth

Reflecting its convenience to the burgeoning Research Triangle Park, the town expanded dramatically from approximately 5,000 inhabitants to more than 20,000 in the 1990s. Apex, North Carolina, has continued to add new homes and infrastructure throughout the 2000s, and today is near a major shopping center at the intersection of US 64 and Highway 55.

Apex’s Progressive Development Plans

Residents of Apex are proud of the way that their community has embraced growth while retaining a core civic identity that stresses quality education and a relaxed pace of life. Reflecting this, the town was ranked among the top 50 of CNN/Money magazine’s 2009 “Top Places to Live.” Forward-thinking community leaders are now planning the Apex Peakway as a commuter-friendly bypass to downtown congestion.
